In February 2023, Guinness World of Records awarded the new record of “World’s Oldest Dog” to Bobi, who has reached the age of 31. In his long life, there is a story that touches everyone’s heart.

Leonel Costa, who has been Bobi’s Pet Parent all this time, shared the story of Bobi’s early life. Costa revealed that when Bobi was born into this world, his family was living in difficult circumstances with many pets including livestock that they cared for. However, a miracle happened when Bobi chose to hide himself behind a pile of firewood. A few days later, Costa and his brother unexpectedly found Bobi.  In that moment, Costa chose to keep this discovery a secret, guarding Bobi’s existence like a hidden gem. From then on, Bobi’s magical journey began, accompanying the Costa family every step of the way with loyalty and deep love.

Costa revealed that they lived a peaceful life in a small village in Portugal. Bobi is not just a pet, but also a member of the family, Costa never chains or cages him and Bobi always enjoys the same meals as the Costa family members. This is likely one of the secrets behind Bobi’s extraordinary longevity.
