The Pet Aquamation Process: From Pickup to Ashes Ready to Be Returned
After more than 15 years in the pet care industry, I’ve witnessed how heartbreaking it is to say goodbye to a beloved animal companion. That’s why I founded a Pet Aquamation (Bio-Cremation) service — to offer a gentler, more respectful farewell.
One of the most common questions we receive is:
“How long does the entire Pet Aquamation process take, from the moment we call you until we receive the ashes?”
Let me walk you through it step by step, with full transparency — because your peace of mind matters.
Step 1: Pet Body Pickup (0–4 Hours After Contact)
Once you contact our team via WhatsApp or phone, we’ll arrange a pickup as soon as possible. On average, we can reach your home or vet clinic within 1 to 4 hours, depending on traffic and location within Jabodetabek.
Pickups are available from your home, clinic, or pet hospital.
Our trained staff handles every pet with dignity and compassion.
Step 2: Pet Aquamation Process (18–24 Hours)
We use a water-based cremation process that mimics natural decomposition.
Unlike fire cremation, aquamation uses warm water and natural alkali, and takes 18–24 hours, depending on the pet’s size.
What happens during this stage:
- The pet’s body breaks down gently in a closed aquamation machine.
- The result is a sterile, bone-white ash.
- There’s no fire, smoke, flames, or harmful emissions.
Step 3: Drying & Preparing the Ashes (1–2 Working Days)
After the aquamation process:
- The ashes are dried and processed into a soft, fine texture.
- We place the ashes into a memorial box or urn of your choice.
- You may also choose to add-on options like: paw print keepsakes, jewelry, or living memorial plants.
Step 4: Ashes Returned to You (Total Time: 3–5 Working Days)
From pickup to return, the entire process typically takes 3 to 5 working days.
You can:
- Collect the ashes personally at our facility,
- Request home delivery (free for most Jabodetabek zones),
- Or have them sent via trusted courier (with handling protocols).
Why Does Aquamation Take More Time Than Fire Cremation?
Because it’s gentle. Because it’s respectful. Because we don’t rush the goodbye.
Aquamation takes more time, but it gives more peace — to both your pet and your heart.
