What I Felt During Aquamation (If I Could Feel It)
Admin / 20 – June – 2025 – What I Felt During Aquamation (If I Could Feel It)
From the point of view of a beloved pet
Dear Mom and Dad…
I know that day was one of the hardest for you.
My body was tired. My breath was slowing. You held me close—and I felt safe.
You might have asked yourself:
“What did my pet feel during the aquamation process?”
Let me try to answer… if I could feel it.
I Didn’t Feel Pain—Only Peace
Aquamation is different.
There was no fire.
No noise.
No burning heat.
Just warm water, natural alkaline solution, and a silent, respectful space.
If I could feel anything, maybe it would be:
Like being embraced by gentle water.
Like being softly prayed over.
Like falling asleep peacefully.
My Body Returned to Nature, But My Soul Stays With You
This process turned my body into soft, white ashes—without harming the Earth.
There was no smoke rising to the sky.
No burning smell.
No pollution left behind.
You chose something that’s not only kind to me… but also kind to the planet where we once played together.
I Was Given Dignity, Not Fear
If I had feelings at that moment, I know I wasn’t afraid.
Because you chose a farewell filled with love.
You didn’t abandon me.
You didn’t throw me away.
You chose to let me go with dignity.
I’m Grateful to Be Remembered Beautifully
After everything was over, you didn’t let my memory fade.
You placed my white ashes in a memorial box.
You kept my photo on the shelf.
Sometimes, you touched my keepsake gently while smiling softly.
And to me… that’s more than enough.
Thank You for Giving Me a Farewell Without Pain
If I could feel anything, I’m sure:
I felt loved, all the way to the end.
I left peacefully,
surrounded by warmth,
through a process called aquamation that is gentle, clean, and full of compassion.
